Our Staff
K. Cady – Founder, CEO & Director of Activities
Since 2019, K. Cady has been the driving force behind the vision and heartbeat of Atlanta Respite for Kids. Her leadership is grounded in deep empathy, forged from her own life experiences. Leaving home at just 15 and never finishing high school, she knows firsthand what it's like to come from hard places. These challenges have given her a unique insight and a relentless passion for the children we serve.
A devoted mother of four, whom she homeschooled, K. Cady also built a successful career in the film industry as a movie accountant. Now, she’s preparing to retire from that career and dedicate herself fully to ARK—for the rest of her days, as she puts it—with unwavering love and purpose.
In Loving Memory: Brian Hawk – CFO
Brian Hawk spent most of his career in the corporate world, navigating big business with skill and precision. But everything changed after a missions trip to Romania, where he served in an orphanage and discovered a new calling. That trip shifted his heart—and his life’s direction.
Brian brought his financial expertise and his heart for people to ARK, serving faithfully as CFO. His wisdom, generosity, and passion for our mission became an essential part of our foundation. His legacy lives on in the lives of every child we touch.
Dianne Davis – Administrative Assistant
Dianne is the glue that holds us together. With a background in business leadership and a natural gift for organization, she brings energy, optimism, and structure to ARK’s daily operations. Her keen eye for budgets, scheduling, and resource management keeps our programs running smoothly.
Always ready with a smile and a solution, Dianne’s presence is not just helpful—it’s uplifting. Her deep well of experience and steady support make her an invaluable part of our team and a daily encouragement to everyone around her.

Our History
Atlanta Respite for Kids-The Ark
For the last 4 years, this home and the landscape has been uniquely modified to serve foster children. We are officially opening up April 2024 with our Sibling Reunification program. Our hope is to bring the siblings placed in different homes together every weekend. This will help build their bonds, skill sets, educational needs, and life skills. Thank you for supporting us in having front row seat to watching how this changes lives.
Our Impact
We aim to help the state move away from costly, ineffective practices that have become the norm simply because there were no better options—until now. Atlanta Respite for Kids offers a sustainable, compassionate alternative that not only meets the needs of children but also significantly reduces state spending.
With the substantial savings our model provides, Georgia has the opportunity to reimagine its foster care system—freeing up resources to reduce social worker caseloads and lessen the financial burden on foster families. It's not just a new model—it's a smarter, more humane way forward.
